Historical re-enactment of the Battle of Colle (Ad 1269)
750 years from the epic battle between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines

The battle of Colle Val d’Elsa, fought in 1269, will relive in a great historical re-enactment to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the clash between the Ghibelline troops of Siena and the Guelph troops of Carlo d’Angiò and of Florence. The re-enactment will be staged on June 15th and will see 300 players competing with professional riders, stuntmen and real special effects that will make visitors relive the battle also remembered by Dante.
