A splendid 4-star hotel located in an ancient abbey of the 11th century, later it was the residence of Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere, from which came the name of the Relais. The hotel is located in the Tuscan countryside near the historic center of Colle Val d’Elsa, the perfect location for visiting all the major places of interest in Tuscany, being within easy reach of cities such as Florence, Siena and San Gimignano.
The 30 rooms of the Relais are Classic, Superior, Junior Suite with panoramic view and the Romantic Junior Suite with a whirlpool tub and four-poster bed inside. All the rooms were renovated in 2021 to allow all the new comforts with research in color and furnishings, including spacious showers, air conditioning, large satellite TV, minibar, Wi-Fi and safe. Finally, our guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the upper and historic part of the town on the edge of a travertine pool that surrounds the villa.
Inside the Relais is the “Il Cardinale” restaurant-wine bar, where a wide selection of renowned local wines accompanies the typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition. The relais also has internal rooms, an equipped meeting room and an internal cloister for business meetings and ceremonies with an ancient charm.
